At Thistlecroft we have an extremely small, very select herd of 5 alpine milkers1 experimental milker 2 alpine bucks (one sold) and 7 alpine junior does. We participate in Linear Appraisal and DHIR. Each year we test for CAE and CL and so far we are negative for both. We feed our kids heat treated colostrum and pasteurized milk. And every afternoon (weather permitting) we go for a walk and the girls browse. We also have moscovy ducks, assorted geese and bees when they decide to join us.
